Davis is a native of Los Angeles. He played college and professional competitions in Los Angeles and has been living in Los Angeles since he retired. He said that people’s views on Wei Shao during the Lakers were becoming more and more unrealistic.

Davis said, “Russell (Wei Shao) got the real love of the people in this city. He didn’t get the attention he deserved when he was in the Lakers, especially when you regard Los Angeles as an entertainment place and a source of media coverage in the United States. But he always gets love on the Clippers.”

Davis especially mentioned his significance to young people in Los Angeles when emphasizing the influence of Wei Shao on Los Angeles. In 2021, weishao foundation cooperated with the Los Angeles Foundation to provide education and resources for high school students and high school students in weishao’s hometown.

“It’s great that he came back.” Davis continued, “This is great for the city and for the children. Russell is a man who can stand up, an excellent player and a legend, he is also a member of the Hall of Fame in the future.”

Davis also mentioned that he felt the changes of weishao and Clippers when watching the game as a fan.
