The 32-year-old Covington played only 16.2 minutes last season, setting a new low since the rookie season, 48 times games played.
When asked if he had ever got the chance to talk with Coach Lu, Covington said: “If there is, then there is, if not, I don’t insist. I only focus on what I can control and do my job well, no matter what happens. I haven’t talked to Lu since the end of the season.”
