Barry: If I play today, I will be higher, faster and stronger. We don’t have such good conditions now.
Live Bar, August 12 news recently, NBA celebrity Rick Barry compared different times in an interview.
Barry said: “We had nothing before. I didn’t have an agile coach, I didn’t have a nutritionist, I didn’t have a special plane, so we couldn’t sleep well before we played away, we all rent cars and drive to the road by ourselves. We used to have only 8 dollars a day, and now the players have special pools, saunas and professional massages.
“If I play today, I will be faster, I will be stronger, I can play longer, I will jump higher, and I will become a better player. Because I didn’t have this kind of condition before, I can’t imagine how strong the players I played against will be today. Oscar Robertson and Jerry West, we were good before and we will be better today.”
Rick Barry won the NBA championship with the Warriors in 1975 and won the NBA finals MVP. He was selected into the all-star lineup 12 times (8 times NBA +4 times ABA) and one of the NBA75 players.
Rick Barry played 1020 times in his career, scoring 24.8 points 6.7 rebounds 4.9 assists, field goal percentage 45.6%, hit 29.7% in three points, and hit 89.3% in free throws.
