Sabonis said: “I think it will be a stepping stone for us to move forward. We met the defending champions, who are a dynasty. We learned from each of them how to prepare for the competition, and they opened our eyes.
“There are many people in our team playing the playoffs for the first time. Warriors have been playing for a long time. I think this is a good test. We will continue to work hard in the new season.”
In the first round of last season’s playoffs, the king lost 3-4 Warriors.
