It is reported that 28000 tickets have been sold for the opening ceremony, while the Philippine Stadium is expected to accommodate up to 50000 spectators. At present, the attendance record for the opening ceremony of the men’s basketball World Cup is 32616 spectators created in 1994.
Erika Di, the deputy director of this competition, said that although the capacity of the venue has been adjusted, the number of people watching the competition may even exceed 50000.
